I atteded my first Sydney Ceramics Market on the weekend 18-19 October at Carriageworks, Sydney.

What an incredible weekend it was.

I sincerely thank al those who dropped into my stall to say hello and be informed about the process of woodfiring.

I felt so humbled to share my passion and to meet a whole new audience.

A sincere thank you to all those who braved the heat wave to come along to my Annual Open Studio & Sale.

In spite of the heat there were generous conversations about the making and using of handmade objects.

Unfortunately here in Australia we are young when it comes to the appreciation of using handmade objects in our everyday life. They can bring such joy when you think of using a piece of art to eat, drink or even serve from.

Your support is immeasurable speaking from a maker’s perspective.

Australian Ceramics Open Studio 2019

My workshop has been established for over 32 years. I have a great interest in using local materials in clay bodies and glazes of which I make on the premises. My main area of focus is the production of tableware as well as one-off signature pieces. Prices ranging $15 upwards. Visitors will be able to view a production workshop in full swing and hear about the processes.
I have two woodfired kilns which produce different results.
Please come along, view the works on hand and have a cuppa and a chat.

These square slab plates have been made from a blend of local clays & fired in my anagama for around 120 hrs. Stacked on the hot face but slightly sheltered by large bulbous forms the flame 🔥 had passed over & through them leaving its indeli
