Caring for your ceramics

My ceramics are made by hand, meaning each piece is one-off with its own unique characteristics. They are microwave and dishwasher safe, although I recommend hand washing to avoid chipping.

With use, some glazes (particularly the satin matte) may form tiny surface line cracks, called crazing. In Japan, a pot with crazing is considered extra special, with each faint line a memory of a sake, whisky, coffee or tea gone by. Crazing does not affect the food-safe nature of your ceramics.

I encourage you to use and appreciate your ceramics on a daily basis.
